About the Department
We are looking for a treatment assistant for the day care at the Eating Disorder Clinic Högsbo within the Neuropsychiatry department – a workplace for those who want to work in specialized eating disorder care while developing both their own skills and future treatment models.
The care chain at Sahlgrenska University Hospital for patients over 25 years old with severe eating disorder issues offers outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care. We also have a mission within National Highly Specialized Care (NHV), which means we meet patients with the most complex and difficult-to-treat eating disorders from all over Sweden. We are currently in an exciting development phase where we are building our day care based on intensive CBT-E with meal support.
We Offer
With us, you will be part of a knowledgeable and dedicated treatment team, where collegial exchange and treatment quality are at the center. You will work closely with psychologists, specialist nurses, specialist doctors, and occupational therapists. The clinic also has physiotherapists, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and dietitians – together forming a cross-professional team driven by the desire to provide patients with the best possible care.
The working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.
Job Responsibilities
The treatment assistant works closely with the team and serves as a contact person for patients enrolled in day care. The role is central to ensuring a safe, predictable, and treatment-focused environment for individuals with severe eating disorder issues. Treatment in day care will be based on intensive CBT-E with meal support and involves daily structured interaction with patients during and between meals, as well as ongoing support in implementing treatment strategies.
About You
We are looking for someone who is a trained treatment assistant (YH level or 3-year) or has other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working in psychiatry or with another relevant target group is an advantage, as is training in MI.
You are a calm person with the ability to listen and communicate clearly, empathetically, and with boundaries. You are comfortable handling emotionally challenging situations and providing support in behavior change.
We have close collaboration across unit boundaries, which means that flexibility and teamwork are qualities we value in hiring.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Welcome with your application!
Selection and interviews are ongoing. A probationary period may be applied. Please attach your diploma to your application.
